At age 35, Chelsea Waves—death doula, grief companion, and lucid dreaming guide—says: “I’ve been to the depths of sorrow where I’m crying on the floor, and I don’t know what to do. Thankfully, I had community that I could call and someone would come over and hold my hand, and be there with me. Through that, I am able to connect with other people who are having these experiences of deep, deep, deep sadness. I'm grateful that I was able to meet that moment for myself and go to those kinds of places.
